The SUN-set process

The SUN-set process

The SUN-set process if for reviewing the key events of the day, reflecting on what you have learned and what you are grateful for. This process can be done just before going to sleep or as part of your evening routine.

SUN stands for Sense & Sooth, Uplift & Unveil, Nurture & Nourish. It’s all about bringing the light of conscious awareness into your life by drawing from the sun’s energy and positionality.

The SUN-set process steps:

S

  • Sense what is present for you: What is going on around you? What are you thinking and feeling?
  • Soothe yourself: Anchor awareness in your body by taking a full breath in through your nose and release the breath slowly from your mouth, repeating 3-6 breaths.

U

  • Uplift the evening: Imagine being the sun as it sets over the horizon, streaming soft light across this day, illuminating the key events of the day.
  • Unveil your gratitude: What have you learned about yourself today? Which of today’s experiences are you grateful for?

N

  • Nurture this moment: With what you are grateful for in awareness, feel the warmth of sunset light around you and within you.
  • Nourish the night: As the sunlight absorbed by your cells nourishes your body, what final intention will set your soul free for the night?

End your day the SUN-set way!

The SUN processes are part of the Authentic Self Empowerment (ASE) approach, developed by Jevon Dängeli, to support individuals, couples and groups in approaching challenging situations mindfully and resourcefully, as well as helping people to optimize the conditions for fulfilment in any area of life.

The Licensed ASE Facilitators and Transpersonal Coaches are trained to facilitate the SUN processes and apply them as part of more comprehensive interventions.
