Video 43: Open Awareness – Holding Space in Coaching, Therapy & Life!

“Holding The Space” is a metaphorical container for the transformative interaction between a practitioner and client. It is also a practical way in which to dis-identify from the stressful, fearful and harmful content of the mind.

In this presentation, Jevon Dangeli proposes a unique mode of perception ideally suited to Holding The Space, called “Open Awareness”. Noticeable aspects of Open Awareness include: mindfulness, receptivity, empathy, compassion, interconnectedness, transpersonal perspective, resourcefulness and calmness.

The simple Open Awareness skills described in this presentation may help to counteract the negative consequences of chronic tunnel awareness – induced by excessive use of mobile devices – the digital zombie generation.
